Mantra Collective are honoured to present the fifth release from our digital sublabel Pandorea Records from Melbourne based Thomas David. With two impressive contributions to our previous Pandorea releases alongside a standout vinyl release on local imprint Ochre, Thomas David continues to cement himself as one of Australia’s finest minimal producers.

His four track EP is polished with the signature tripped out flavour Thomas David excels at. Cleanly cut details and low slung basslines make for understated tracks primed for dimly lit dancefloors. Embellished with spooky synth lines and propelled by a sludgy bass, Blue Bend is a sludgy after-hours cut reminiscent of the quintessential Australian bush doof. Taking a more rhythmic approach It Happens Always Lately immerses the listener in its rolling groove before seducing with a distorted vocal hook. Long Lost Brother takes a more housey approach, with its tight drum work layered with dreamy and gently swung percussion. Lastly, the psychedelic bounce of Pots + Pans rounds out the EP with its loopy atmospheres and unhinged soundscapes.
